There are a variety of different reports designed for specific
purposes. Please read on to decide which is pertinent to your
requirements.
Valuations
A valuation can be produced for such activities as:
- Mortgage
- Purchase and Sale of residential or commercial properties
- Probate and Inheritance tax
- Matrimonial disputes
RICS Homebuyer Survey
A straight forward report using minimal jargon. It highlights any significant
or urgent matters and future repairs requiring investigation before exchange
of contracts. A valuation and insurance re-instatement cost for buildings
insurance purposes suitable for most normal sized, conventionally built properties
can also be included.
Pre-Sale Survey
A survey, much along the line of the homebuyer's survey, carried out for the
vendor prior to marketing which can be transferred to the purchaser. This
does not include a valuation.
Building Survey
This is a detailed investigative report, describing the condition of a properties
structure and its elements. Photographs and sketches may be added for supporting
detail. It is not a structural report, and it may indicate that reference to
a structural engineer or other specialist would be prudent. The report will include
any major repairs and maintenance required, a valuation and an insurance reinstatement
if required.
